2016 Holiday Showcase Results

The purpose of the Showcase is to share our love of turning.  Through the Showcase, we learn from, show admiration and appreciate each other’s work in a friendly, informal competition.  Also, members' family guests and friends who attend are able to see what we do on the first Monday of each month.

Only TWG members in good standing were eligible to enter.  Judging was the responsibility of members present, regardless of whether they entered a piece.  Entries were placed in one of the four categories: Bowls & Platters, Spindles, Boxes & Hollow Forms, and Pens.  All the entries were of a very caliber, making it difficult to select only the top four.

The most difficult to choose was the Best in Show.  That task fell to Ross Robertson, who received the Best in Show award last year.

The results are posted below.  Click on the hyperlinks (brown text) to see photographs.  All photographs were taken by TWG member David Churchill, who brought in a portable photo studio for some wonderful close-up shots of the winning pieces.
